What are the check-in and check-out times at Toppesfield Hall?
Check-in is from 4pm, and check-out is by 10am.
These timings help us prepare the lodges and cottage to the highest standard for the next arrival.
Can we request an early check-in or late check-out?
Yes — sometimes we can offer an early check-in or late check-out, depending on other arrivals and departures on the same day.
Just message us the week before your stay and we’ll confirm what’s possible.
Can we arrange a grocery delivery to our lodge or cottage?
Absolutely. Many supermarkets deliver directly to Toppesfield Hall, including:

Sainsbury’s
Asda
Ocado
Waitrose
Please make sure the delivery is booked after you arrive, as we can’t accept grocery deliveries on your behalf. We also receommend using Just Eat, if you are planning on ordering a takeaway.
Is Toppesfield Hall suitable for a group of friends wanting a countryside break together?
Yes — our lodges and cottage are ideal for groups of friends who want a stylish countryside escape. You’ll have the space to relax, catch up, enjoy the hot tub, walk the footpaths right from the doorstep, and settle in for cosy evenings with wine, games or a movie night.
Do the lodges and cottage have private hot tubs?
Yes — every lodge and cottage at Toppesfield Hall has its own private hot tub, perfect for a relaxing evening after exploring the Essex countryside. You also have your own fire pit, perfect for lazy evenings.
Is there enough space for a group to cook and eat together?
We recommend Copper Beech Lodge, Chestnut Lodge and Toppesfield Hall Cottage for group stays. They feature a fully equipped kitchen, full-size fridge (with a smaller freezer compartment), dishwasher, and everything you need for group meals — from brunch feasts to easy dinners after a day out exploring.

Yes — you can book spa and wellbeing treatments in the comfort of your holiday accommodation. So your group can unwind and switch off without going anywhere.
Can we bring our dog for a group stay?
Yes — Toppesfield Hall is fully dog friendly and all holiday accommodation welcomes dogs.
Our bigger properties (suitable for groups of friends) allow up to 3 dogs (Copper Beech, Chestnut Lodge and Toppesfield Hall Cottage).
