This was a lovely house situated in a lovely area with lots of greenery. The house was clean and spacious with lots of room and instructions for the arrival and departure were clear and concise. We had a lovely time using the facilities.

We had a lovely stay a Copper Beach Lodge. Amanda was really helpful and responsive. The venue was easy to find and instructions from Amanda were great. The Lodge had everything we needed for a family getaway, a real home from home. The grounds were nice and secluded and there was plenty of space for the kids to play and explore. Even though there are other lodges, you never feel overlooked or anything. Thanks Amanda and Adam for helping us have a great family holiday!

Great stay - beautiful peaceful location and such friendly hosts / owners! The bike hire was great and we had a fab day cycling out to finchingfield on Adam’s recommendation. We will definitely be back.

We loved staying here. The weather was perfect which helps 🙂We have three kids and two dogs, and the lodge was perfectly equipped for all of us. The games room and tennis court was a brilliant addition, giving the kids safe places to play. We will be back for sure. A great place for a few nights away to connect with the countryside

Absolutely wonderful family break at the cottage. We’ve stayed in a lot of lovely AirBnB’s as a family and this one was really up there. Great facilities for all the family, and really good value for what it is, based on experience. I think we’ll definitely be back!

Spent a lovely Easter weekend at Toppesfield Hall with my husband and dog, making pizzas in the pizza oven, bbqing, and sitting by the campfire. Our dog loved running around the garden and the trees made it very private. Would highly recommend!

Fantastic place, beautiful location. It was very clean and tidy and she thought of everything as far as little touches. It was warm cosy and inviting. I highly recommend so much do we have rebooked

We had a great stay, kids really enjoyed it, we enjoyed using the tennis court and a short cycle to the pub.Was a good base to explore the local area

The emailed instructions made the property easy to find and access. It was really clean and comfortable. The folder of suggested activities was helpful although we didn’t use it. The hot tub was great and it was nice to have the extra towels provided. The check out instructions were clear and reasonable, with all the cleaning equipment to hand. I’d definitely book again.

Amanda was very responsive and proactive, even giving a heads up on when the gardener was turning up! The place was lovely and perfect for a few nights away as a group for my boyfriend’s birthday. Would definitely come back when the sauna’s up and ready!The hot tub was fab, we were lucky enough to get 18 degrees weather outside too which was just perfect. The amenities eg game room and tennis court were a great bonus, which we made full use of too!

Lovely cabin, perfect for what we needed to celebrate my sons birthday!

The cabin gave us the perfect break from busy city life. The area is quiet, peaceful and has some really good pubs and cafes a short drive away. The hot tub, games room and green spaces at the retreat's site allowed for a much needed weekend reset. Amanda and Adam were great hosts who were always responsive and helpful too

We spent a lovely few days at Toppesfield Hall cottage. The welcome basket was a nice touch with lots of essentials. The hot tub was spacious, clean and wonderfully private. There were lots of recommendations in the guest folder for things to do and places to visit. After a cold winter’s walk, the underfloor heating downstairs made the cottage feel very cosy. Our daughter loved the games room just across from the cottage. We were well equipped with lots of towels for the hot tub and other essentials for our stay. The hosts have thought of everything. Thank you for a lovely stay. Would highly recommend.

Everything Was Perfect

Booked to stay here for valentines and it didn’t disappoint. It’s in such a beautiful location which is private too. Our lodge was so beautiful and quirky. From the hot tub to the room to the fire pit we loved every minute. The whole experience was made so smooth by Amanda. She was responsive and really went the extra mile to make our time with her that little bit better. I would definitely recommend coming here it’s so peaceful and all of this in an amazing location with shopping walks bike rides there is something for everyone.

We stayed over Christmas and New Year and everything was perfect. We arrived to the lodge having been tastefully decorated for Christmas. During our stay we walked many footpaths, visited local villages and the local pub and Indian takeaway, and spent many hours in the hot tub. All communication was promptly responded to.
I would throughly recommend City to Country retreats.

Had 7 nights here Place was nice,Games room and courts where a nice idea for the kids,Dissatisfied at our hot tub.Wouldn’t heat above 38c for the entire stay.Accommodation was fine and well equipped.Looking a bit tired in places sofa and mattresses could do with an update for the price paid.Overall a nice trip away.Thankyou👍🏻

Beautiful place to stay. Wonderful country retreat with lots of great recommendations for nearby places to visit. We stayed for a long weekend with our two small children. Great communication beforehand. We particularly enjoyed the views, the hot tub, exploring the local woodlands and the comfy beds.
